I know Mr. Timur Sharapiev since 2008 when he joined the newspaper “De-facto” as a designer. He was only 19 years old at that time and was full of energy having strong desire to learn new skills. As a Chief Editor of that newspaper, I hired him for two months as an intern to see if he can be able to become a full team member. However, only in one month I understood that he has a full capacity and commitment to work being a creative and professional designer. Despite his young age, he proved full integrity and responsibility in dealing with tasks. In six months, he became one of the main designers of the newspaper. I had a chance to work with Timur three times: from 2008 to 2010, then from 2012 to 2014, and in 2018 for an EU funded project. In 2012, we resumed the publication of the newspaper De-facto and he was the first person whom I invited to help me. During two years, Timur proved himself as a reliable, responsible and the most creative designer I ever met. In 2018, I started working again with Timur, but this time as an Executive Director of the Bulan Institute for Peace Innovations. Timur worked with us in the framework of the project that aimed to protect children`s right to civic education which was funded by the EU small grants programme. Timur was responsible for design of brochures and the newsletter. He also produced two animated films in the framework of that project devoted to children`s rights to education. I highly recommend Timur as the most reliable, responsible and creative designer I ever met in my 23 years of experience in journalism and project management. Tang Chun has always been a designer who never put my professional ability above the needs of customers. The customer's demand for his life, his residence, and not only the living environment, he may want to get more. It's like this house is his lifelong career. In his life, maybe this time I will not install it again. He may struggle for decades. This big house is like a big trophy for himself, a reward for himself. Life needs a unique thing of its own, which is soul. Design to have their own theme, their own ideas.

Lampo Leong, PhD, is currently a Distinguished Professor, Doctoral Advisor, and Director of Centre for Arts and Design at the University of Macau and Tennued Professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Leong’s work has been featured in art auctions such as Christie’s, Ravenel, etc., and in art expos, museums, and galleries worldwide through more than 70 solo and over 430 national and international juried and curated group exhibitions, receiving over 100 awards such as Red Dot Award: Best of the Best, Gold Award at America Good Design, Gold Medal at the Creative Quarterly international art competition in New York. Leong's work can be found in over 10 museum collections and hundreds of notable corporate and private collections. Leong’s achievements have been documented in over 1000 reviews and publications, including the front cover of the New Art International in New York, the Creative Genius: 100 Contemporary Artists in London, and Art Frontier in the USA.
