My career in Design started in 2006. I worked as an Interior Designer and Graphic Designer in creative and design companies. Today I continue my way in my own studio. My own design studio SOT B&D was opened in 2015. The studio majors are visual identification, packaging, web design, illustration. More than 400 projects for local and foreign clients from Ukraine, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Poland, UAE, Russia, USA were implemented by SOT B&D within 6 years. My favorite part of the project is creating the design itself when all the information is collected, briefs are read, meetings are held, details are clarified. Vivid emotions make me an effective result for complex projects that lasted for months. Invested heavily and with much energy in them. To become a great designer, you must practice a lot. This is the only way to get experience. In order to create out-of-box solutions and be a real expert, you need to improve your skills constantly, move the bar upwards, step out of your comfort zone, learn new things, work on mistakes and improve your visual culture. Despite how good a specialist you are, if you do not know how to communicate with people, interact with them, you will not be able to sell your work.

I always concentrate on my client’s needs first. Then, I imagine and create a design for them. I love long-life design which is simple, but never fails to be interesting. I aim for timelessness in my work and go from there.” Finally, Takanori offers some insight into TAKANORI URATA DESIGN’s future. “I don't know what will happen in future. So, I think I should try hard to make my design skill up so that I can meet variety needs from clients.”

Masaki Hirokawa, born in 1981 in Toyama, Japan, has established himself as a versatile graphic designer and developer. Beginning his career in web design and programming at the age of 16, Hirokawa moved to Tokyo in 1999, where he specialized in web and desktop publishing design. By 2002, his expertise had expanded to include system engineering and programming. Embracing a freelance career in 2005, Hirokawa undertook a variety of projects encompassing web design, graphic design, and interactive movies. His exceptional talent earned him the Grand Prize at the MTV SO-ZO Competition in the Web Screensaver Category in 2006. Expanding his professional repertoire, Hirokawa authored several reference books from 2008 onwards and contributed articles to graphic design magazines. Venturing into video game development in 2011, he utilized his technical and artistic skills. In 2013, he successfully ventured into the smartphone app market, with one of his apps achieving over 20 million downloads and sustaining a global user base of over 3 million active users. Rediscovering his passion for graphic design in 2019, Hirokawa began to exhibit his work on international platforms, from Italy to the United Kingdom and beyond. His artistic prowess was recognized in 2022 when he was named “ARTIST OF THE YEAR 2021” by ITSLIQUID Group. Currently, Hirokawa continues to integrate his graphic design expertise with his flourishing app business, constantly innovating and captivating a global audience.
